77478245HOLLYWOOD BEACON |
Hollywood Beacon embraces the history of Hollywood and It’s influence on young aspiring actors and entertainers who saw this monument as a symbol of hope for their future. This single-family dwelling merges the living and working program into a unique typology that simplifies the conditions and experiences of the users. The design attempts to become a landmark by merging the topography with the outdoor area of the house and emphasizing the office space to create a visual relation with the iconic Hollywood sign.

15291609HI STEVE |
Communication as a necessity for modern living.
A house that talks. Jarvis fantasy turned reality. Your house greeting you? Warning of unauthorized entry? Telling you how it feels? We questioned traditional aesthetics and functionalities and rethinked archetypal house qualities adding fifth dimension to the usual four dimensions Multifunctional facade is a sun and privacy screen, a multimedia display, a mean of communication, Twitter account, an AI partner to converse with passers-by, visitors, and the owner. Additionally, the house has it’s own garden cultivated with water from moisture collectors. It runs across whole house, as an integral element of dwelling. |

15723166MEDITERRANEAN HOUSE |
The Mediterranean House was designed for the steps of a mountain in the state of California. The weather in this location is pretty stable throughout the year, with temperatures ranging from 70F/21C and occasional spikes to 80F/27C and a very low humidity. This temperature is very pleasant as it is, so the goal of this building is to maintain a comfortably acclimated habitat using a passive technology that mediates between the user and its surroundings. In order to accomplish this goal, I concentrated on two areas: Fabrication and Construction, and sustainability.

17073664INTEGRATIVE INNOVATIVE ICONIC |
With its prominent location, LHOM sets itself to inherit responsibility of celebrating legacy of a city known for dreams and dreamers, while embracing its future and succeeding generations.
Applauding Hollywood sign, horizontal mass of building underscores its presence, while vertical mass applauds the building itself. Simple yet bold architecture follows iconic symbolism of the sign. Curvilinear roofs inspire excitement and reflect language of surrounding hills. Open plan offers 360 views, while zoned functions provide privacy, flexibility and transformative lifestyles. Nestled in existing topography, house is lifted, showcasing an artistic presence, harmonized with natural surroundings, allowing minimum impact on the terrain. |

63347334The 4 Points of a New Home |
This project proposes model residence that roots itself into the local scene of LA Hollywood while following the 4 Points of a New Home:
1. The Home is an actor maintaining agency of various scales. 2. The Home is a cultivation of its politics and environment, but transcends both. 3. The Home endures through the framing of the timely (hi-tech) by that of the timeless (lo-tech). 4. The Home is a vessel composed of numerous stages in intertwined play. |

84143604OCCUPY THE ICON |
This Site can only be afforded by 1% of Los Angeles Citizens.
Our culture, however, has figured out how to acquire what is beyond our means. Crowd Funding/Sourcing/Thinking has permeated our lives (Uber, ObamaCare, TEDxtalks). The future of LA is Crowd Living. We have designed the Wealthy Favela, because in Los Angeles, homes replicate up hills. A house that affords the LA dweller(s) to Occupy an Icon and live the Californian indoor/outdoor style. A house built flexible enough for Roommates, Dual Families or a large Multi-Generation Family. The transformational abilities of the architecture allow the crowd to be the 1%. |

117366292oblivione |
“Any objection I might add toward this invasion of the civilized is naturally in vain; to witnesses void the merit of reason and set on a hunt for some supposed monsters among us. Thus, the rest left to suffocate amongst the most damnable creature: cultural parasite.” —Someone relatively obscure
The algorithm age has manifest a frontier beyond the materially stagnant physical spaces of a previous century, and before the inexact and perpetually mutable digital language. By way of the robot, fibres of technology may weave into the fabrics for construction. A fortress for the revolution – the organism of domestic autonomy will be your host. |

155151264THE LAST HOUSE |
The Last House is an experimental house for the near future. The Last House uses a combination of traditional technique and emerging technology to form a double skin roof. The Last House favors the use of passive technology systems that work in harmony with the site. The structure is nestled into the landscape to reduce exposure to heat and maximize cool air flow. The natural slope is embraced and used to define space in a house with no walls. The last house seeks a minimal impact upon its environment, yet a noticeable silver of light below the Hollywood sign.

193350093SOLAR CISTERN |
This project asserts that the relationship between architecture and nature can exist beyond the limits of passive sustainable systems, influencing each aspect of the building in a powerful way. The design takes inspiration from the principles of organic architecture through its repeated material motifs as well as its projection of nested interior program onto the form of the building envelope. The textural transitions attempt to convey a feeling of growth, beginning with the carved plinth of concrete and rammed earth, and transitioning into a network of wood, adonized aluminum, and glass.

“So I met the woman that lives in that…projector house. Yeah with all the crazy images. No, I was inside too! Totally weird for sure, I can’t really explain it…
A party. Well, the walls were at crazy angles and stuff but it looked like, like a house, I guess. But the music started, and lights started moving - all around. I was a buzzed, but parts of the walls would disappear and I could see outside, or..or maybe it was a projection of outside? I remember a bear. I dunno man, I dunno…. Do we have bears in LA?” |
