686335747HOLLYHOUSE |
The concept of the icon in both built and natural environment is born from the exploration of series of volumetric compositions but also, in a social context, the merger of two different contextual shapes that can lead to a convivial but above all an educational space that shapes the uniqueness of five senses, personalities, through cultural exchanges, with a spatial diversity along the project. Living in a house is not only to live but to build himself through a socio-cultural space. Thus it would be important to enhance deep relationships that can be both educational and emotional, as the environment and the neighborhood are considered as timeless landscape heritages that can bring an exotic touch to daily lifestyle. The project is also focused on an integrative manner to re-imagine the sustainable vision of a house by using passive design and renewable energy that are part of the geometry and the awareness of the project.

It was 80 degrees at day-break and his underground cooling system was in full swing. In his previous home, the cool air blowing across his bedroom would have made him think of $$. But with the mushroom blanket of retractable solar panels covering his new home, he was actually selling power back to the grid. During the drought, he could charge his obsessive-compulsive neighbor for all those showers. His sizable underground cistern was full. He was set for the year. He took a picture of his breakfast and posted it on Instagram. It instantly covered a wall of his kitchen. Tonight he would invite friends over to watch his latest project in the open air solar cinema on his roof, but until then his kitchen screen would do. Finishing his coffee, he slid into his Tesla car. Everything purred, the elimination of fossil fueled engines had made his world a much more quiet place. His house purred like an engine too. He laid back in his Tesla and commanded his destination. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw an amazon drone land on his roof. What did he order last night? He really. . . couldn't recall.
